Ep. 11 - No-Kill Rule is the eleventh episode of Hand Jumper.
Plot[]
Juni Chang uses her blue essence, which takes the form of blue ribbons, to defeat the last criminal. She is about to kill the criminal when Sayeon intervenes and tells her to stop. Juni says that she is allowed to kill the criminal, but Sayeon argues that since Juni provoked him, his death would not be morally justified. The criminal then says the abandoned warehouses on Fifth street are a dropoff point for rapture. After acknowledging what the criminal said, Juni makes the group celebrate her victory by drinking coffee together outdoors at a cafe.
At the cafe, Juni says that this is "another job well done," but Sayeon objects, pointing out that the group has not checked the previously mentioned warehouses yet. Iseul interrupts Sayeon, gushing about Juni's power. Ryujin says that Juni can only create her ribbons in a certain radius around herself, and that an aberrant capable of creating blades out of essence would be able to cut through those ribbons. Juni asks Ryujin how she knows that, to which Ryujin responds that a friend of hers had the same ability, and that this friend died. Ryujin tells Juni to not get cocky. Juni responds well to this statement, and tells Ryujin that she likes her. Sayeon is still frustrated that they are not investigating the warehouses the criminal mentioned, to which Juni responds that they have already handed the criminal over to the cops, who will look at these warehouses in about a month. Sayeon responds incredulously, saying that they could check the warehouses now. Sayeon explains that rapture is derived from human essence and cannot be produced without the suffering of others. She explains that normal people are not able to deal with the addictive substance, and that their bodies break down after taking too much of it. Juni says that aberrant corps members are not paid overtime, but Sayon wants to leave. Iseul tells Sayeon to stay and finish her coffee while it is still hot, but Sayeon finishes her coffee in one go, astonishing Juni, Iseul, and Ryujin.
Sayeon uses the excuse of throwing away her cup to leave the group. Sayeon remembers her sister Samin telling her that the Aberrant Corps will make Sayeon kill people, which Sayeon categorically rejected at the time. Sayeon loudly talks to herself about her frustrations with Juni, that she threatened to kill the criminal, and refused to do her job even to stop human trafficking, but still wonders why aberrants are hated. Sayeon is about to say that she doesn't believe Juni would actually kill anyone when she is approached by a stranger on the street, who tells her to go to the warehouse with the red roof at the end of fifth street, because she will find something interesting in there. The stranger wears the same mask and has the same hairstyle of Jungwoo of the Red Crimson Society from Episode 5, but his eyes are different and he wears a black earring on his left ear. Sayon attempts to catch up with the stranger, asking him whether Samin sent him and whether he has been watching Sayeon. She is unable to catch the stranger, and the chapter ends with Sayeon exclaiming "...Samin...!"
