Ep. 12 - Bad Vibes is the twelfth episode of Hand Jumper.

Plot[]

The Episode begins with a flashback of Sayeon's childhood. In the flashback, Sayeon asks Samin whether she can keep a cat, whether a friend can play at her house, and whether she can buy gummies - all of which Samin rejects. Sayeon is next shown crying on a flight of stairs. Samin walks up behind her and congratulates Sayeon on her birthday, giving her a red stuffed-animal bunny. Samin apologizes that Sayeon couldn't invite her friends, and tries to cheer her up, but Sayeon keeps crying. Samin asks whether Sayeon will ask why they cannot have people over at the house, but Sayeon tells her sister that she trusts her, and won't ask. Samin is shown visibly relieved, and tells Sayeon that she's glad to hear Sayeon trusts her. Samin tells her younger sister to always trust her, and to count on her like she counted on their parents. Samin says that when she says something, Sayeon shouldn't question her, but simply listen.

The flashback ends, and Sayeon is shown sitting on a flight of stairs by the street, when Ryujin calls for her attention. Ryujin tells Sayeon that Juni intends to buy gummies at a convenience store, and that Sayeon is not allowed to run around without her. Sayeon asks how Ryujin how she found her, to which Ryujin replies incredulously that every aberrant within five blocks could find her. Due to her bad mood, Sayeon's essence is spilling over everywhere. Ryujin doesn't understand why Sayeon is so upset. Sayeon realizes that when Officer Cha surprised her by opening the door in Episode 3, he must have known that she was present because of her leaking essence. The scene is shown to us again through a flashback, and Sayeon wonders whether Samin could feel her essence to and if so, for how long she knew that Sayeon was an aberrant.

Sayeon asks Ryujin whether, in case someone she hated told you to avoid a place, she would still go there, even if that place was really dangerous. Without hesitation, Ryujin says she would. Sayeon is unsurprised. Sayeon stands up and starts leaving, thinking to herself that Samin must want her to react to the stranger from last episode, and listen to her older sister. Ryujin asks Sayon where she is going, and Sayeon says she is going to the warehouses. She asks whether Ryujin will come with her. When Ryujin is unsure, Sayeon quotes her own words from earlier this scene back at her. Sayeon thinks to herself that she's sick of doing nothing, the corps, Samin, and most of all her powerless self. Ryujin laughs, and tells Sayeon that she's "not so boring after all". After explaining that she stole some cigarettes from Juni and wanted to smoke them, Ryujin agrees to go. Ryujin asks whether Sayeon believes the criminal told the truth about a rapture warehouse, and what she thinks is inside.

The next panel is a scene from inside the warehouse. A bloodied, dark-haired man with broken glasses sits, wrists tied, on a wooden chair in a warehouse. Jiwook, his face hidden behind a pig mask, lists all the fingers the bloodied man has left. A panel shows that the other fingers were cut clean through. Jiwook threatens the man, telling him that if he won't talk, other things will be removed as well.
