Ep. 28 - Capture the Flag is the twenty-eighth episode of Hand Jumper.

Plot[]

Instructor Sang and Juni Chang are having a conversation in Sang's office. Juni is giving a report of her trip with cell 4 (Episodes 10 - 17), and says that neither Ryujin nor the others created any trouble. Sang asks about Sayeon, using her family name Lee. Juni tells her that Sayeon is unremarkable, and reveals that Min's past is undocumented, Iseul's deceased father was once a Corps Officer, and Ryujin killed a Corps officer.

Later, in the gym, Instructor Sang looks down from the stands while Cells 3 and 4 are gathered below. Sang says that they will be doing capture the flag between both cells, and throws down two batons. Taeho catches the blue baton, and Iseul catches the red baton. Sang explains that there will be three matches, and in each match 2 members of either cell with face eath other. For a cell to win a match, a member of that cell must be in physical contact with both batons. The cell that wins the most matches will gain 5 points, thereby bringing them to level two in the Aberrant Corps. Both cells have ten minutes to decide who from their cell will play in each round, but everyone must participate at least once. Min and Dahee are only allowed to participate once. Taeho is arrogant towards cell 4.

Iseul and Ryujin complain about the rule regarding Min and Dahee, but Sayeon figures out that the reason this rule is in place is because Sang believes them both to be the strongest aberrants in each cell respectively. In order to prevent them from being used in every match, she restricted the amount of times they could participate. Iseul is confused, but Sayeon thinks about the fact that puttin Min in each match was her original plan. In her mind, he is clearly the strongest and most experienced, while she is an amateur and Sayeon doesn't understand Iseul's abilities well yet. Ryujin turns to Sayeon and tells her that she won't be using her gift, since she doesn't want to play into the hands of the Corps. According to her, Sang is doing this exercise because she is trying to gauge the skills and abilities of each aberrant so that she can find out how to use them for the Corps. Ryujin does not want to participate in that.

Sayeon angrily confronts Ryujin, telling her that her attitude is pointless and only serves to sabotage their cell. She would at least respect Ryujin if Ryujin was planning on overthrowing the Corps. Sayeon considers where her anger is coming from, and wonders whether it's because Ryujin's attitude reminds her of Jaeil. Ryujin punches Sayeon in the face, and cell 3 watches on, with Taeho remarking that it will be easy to defeat them if they have such internal squabbles. Sungwoo remarks that he wishes Sang had allowed them to place Dahee in every match, but Dahee counters that it wouldn't be fun if it were too easy.
