Godlings are powerful beings that once existed in the world of Hand Jumper and the ancestors of the Aberrants. While some ruled over humans like kings, most were reclusive beings that were eventually killed off by human progress. Their half-human offspring inherited some Godling powers, which would go on to be inherited by their children, and so on. This is what led to the creation of aberrancy.

Past[]
Once upon a time the Godlings stood atop the natural world. Some ruled over humans as God Emperors while others preferred to be worshipped in seclusion not wanting to live among humans. They didn't bother to rule humans with an iron fist given how short and flitting human life is.
As the human population increased the Godlings population remained the same
What led to their downfall was:

With every passing generations humans amassed knowledge, lived better and stronger lives and grew exponentially Meanwhile the Godlings grew complacent and didn't futher to better themselves
They aren't collaborative and are pride solidarity being. They rarely have families or Godling kids
Creating Aberrants
By doing this they sealed their fate
Godlings commonly sired half Godling children than full ones because full Godling kids would grow up to be a threat
Because Half Godlings were tainted with human blood they were not as powerful as full Godlings nor godlike in appearance. They were not accepted by Goldlings as one of their own so the half Godlings would integrate into human society.
They would marry produce kids and sometimes their human kids would inherited a bit of Godling power. Eventually this would go on for some generations until the Aberrants outnumbered the Godlings a thousand to one. Led the uprising against the Godlings and took their place a top of the world.
Modern Era[]
In the current era some Godlings have chosen to shed their physical forms and now live in the ether as omnipresent beings. Since many Godlings have chosen to live in the ether not many people have seen or interacted with them, thus most people consider these beings myths. As to what Godlings do is a mystery however, some of them such as Augur and the one that appeared in Sayeon dreams choose to interact with humans and aberrants. In some cases such as Augur he allows the old lady that appear in Chapter 49 to use his powers to predict people futures.

The appearance of the Godlings vary drastically. Some are said to be hideous and monstrous, while others possessed a beauty "so terrifying that it drove men to tears".
Abilities[]
They are immortal
Godlings' powers are stronger and more impactful than aberrants, the examples are: cursing a land barren for hundreds of years, turning a human into ash with a single touch, communing with the forest and parting the sea. The Godlings' essence was also said to be colored white.
