Jaeil was the former classmate and best friend of Sayeon Lee. Despite being a delinquent, he was Sayeon closet and only friend before she joined the Aberrant Corps.
After testing for aberrancy day Jaeil status/whereabouts has been unknown to both family and friends. Many believed that he was just skipping school, however this would be later proven false when Sayeon learns that he was executed in cold blood by Officer Ahn.

Jaeil Kim is an average-height teenage boy with short, straight, light brown hair. His eyes are the same color as his hair. When in his chool uniform, he always wears a blue jacket. He also wears round, black earrings.
Personality[]
Jaeil Kim is lazy and bad at studying[1] but is also kind and humorous. Unlike Sayeon, Jaeil frequently broke school rules (smoking, drinking, and getting into fights), and does not see himself as a "good person"[2].

Jaeil does not ever seem to have been a good student. His relationship with his father has becomes strained because of this. He and Sayeon are close friends. It is unknown how or why this friendship came to be.
