Rapture is an illegal drug that's derived from essence, human life force. As stated by Sayeon, the drug can not be produced without the suffering of others. Some of the drawbacks of using rapture are that (1) it's highly addictive, (2) regular humans are not able to handle the additional surge of essence, and (3) if regular humans take too much of it, their bodies will start breaking down. Rapture is distributed onto the streets by Aberrant gangs, such as the Begonia Group and sold on street corners or alleyways.
Administrating Rapture[]

Rapture is stored in a small gray vial. Administrating it is very similar to using eye drops. First, the person removes the cap from the vial and then holds the vial above eye level. The person then squeezes a drop of liquid(essence) into the eyes. The effects are instantaneous as the regular human gains aberrant powers to move fast and have increased strength temporarily.
Effects of Creating Rapture[]
Loss of pigmentation in hair.
Rapture is created by repeatedly draining an individual's essence. When done on normal children most do not survive, however if this is performed on aberrant children they are more likely to survive because they are stronger than normal humans. The effects of Aberrant children being repeatedly drained of essence results in a total loss of hair (possibly eyes as well) pigmentation that never goes back to normal. Two known individuals that have suffered a loss in pigmentation are Hayoon Ahn and Min Woo.
